A Poem For Jean Cocteau:
seven shadows ... silent.
falling through this winters nite
i feel the breath of air between my fingers
an image caught in light
words pulled from a memory and pasted onto a canvas sky
faces turned and memories burned
only a reality left to cling to
i place a hand across my face
and try to trace the smile
like shadows that disappear in darkness
waiting to return
